Help Power the MarMo Magic

MarMo Innovation is powered by community — and volunteers are a big part of what makes our markets, programs, concerts, youth events, wellness expos, and community meals possible. There is a place for you at MarMo.

Sign Up to Volunteer

Whether you love greeting people, decorating spaces, helping kids feel confident, setting up vendor areas, supporting local artists, pouring wine, serving meals, taking photos, fishing with kids, or jumping in wherever needed — there is a role for you.

When you volunteer with MarMo, you are not just helping with an event. You are helping create affordable access, joyful community experiences, and real opportunities for entrepreneurs, artists, nonprofits, youth, and neighbors across Galveston.

Ways to Help

Volunteer Opportunities

Find the role that fits you best. No experience needed for most — just kindness, reliability, and a willingness to help.

Event Volunteers

Help bring MarMo events to life — check-in, greeting guests, setup, decorating, breakdown, vendor support, wayfinding, or general event flow.

Great for people who enjoy being around community, music, markets, and creative events.

Programs you may support
  • MarMo Market
  • Art in Motion Wellness Expo
  • La Danse Finale
  • Community Meals & Concerts
  • Nonprofit networking
  • Pop-ups & seasonal events

Market Volunteers

MarMo Market creates space for local makers, small businesses, creatives, and entrepreneurs to sell, connect, and grow.

Volunteers may help vendors load in, direct guests, assist with setup, answer questions, support flow, pour wine when applicable, and keep the market welcoming and organized.

A great fit for people who love small businesses, local art, shopping local, and hospitality.

Youth Program Volunteers

MarMo's youth programs create hands-on opportunities for young people to explore entrepreneurship, creativity, confidence, leadership, and life skills.

Support MarMo Market Jr. (ages 5–17) with booth setup, encouragement, customer-service help, activity stations, and check-in — or support Teach a Kid to Fish with setup, fishing activities, kid-friendly guidance, and safety support.

All youth-facing roles may require additional screening or approval.

Community Meal & Hospitality

Our community meals and concerts bring people together around food, music, and connection.

Volunteers may help with serving, greeting, setup, cleanup, pantry organization, water stations, or guest support.

Perfect for people who love hospitality and believe everyone deserves a seat at the table.
